Grab a friend for a daily run or hit the treadmill and set a steady pace that is comfortable for you.

Cut down on your portion sizes whenever you’re eating. Many people think more about eating a smaller breakfast or skipping it altogether, but eating large portions for their lunches and dinners. However, this should be exactly the opposite. Eating a larger, more healthy breakfast is essential to get your whole body started right for the day. Then, you should watch your portion sizes throughout the day, still eating a large dinner, but not too large.

What’s wrong is our entire concept of success. The harsh truth is that it’s not suppose to come easily. Whether you are losing weight or amassing a fortune, it takes hard work and commitment. There, I told you the only thing that makes sense. There is no magic bullet, potion or cure for great relationships, saving for retirement, or looking better. I watch the other male and female members who look terrific because they put in their gym time like we do. That is why they look the way they do. I’ll also bet they watch what they eat as well. After all, why jeopardize all that time and trouble in the workouts?

Here is something to keep in mind: It’s not setting the goals that create stress, it’s the emotional expectations you’ve created about achieving the goals. Stress is often created by placing unrealistic expectations on yourself.

Do not get carried away with your Christmas supermarket shop. Remember, Christmas is a celebration but does it really warrant that 1KG tin of chocolates or the 12 pack of pastry packed sausage rolls and pork pies?! If it is not in your trolley it cannot end up in your mouth, so shop sensibly. Your waistline and wallet will both be grateful!
